| Dear Healing Arts Professionals and Health Advocates,
I
share my experience involving Hungarian Apothecary Mud with great
enthusiasm in the hope that it will be of interest and benefit to
you and those with whom you work. When I first was introduced to
the mud my immediate reaction was to think, "How silly."
My father is a doctor and my mother a nurse, so I come from a Western
Medicine background. In my experience and growth through work in
Spa Therapies, my skepticism about this product proved incorrect.
I look forward to sharing the information and product with all who
could benefit.
I am a dually licensed Massage Therapist and Esthetician. For the
last 7 years I have built my own business, downtimemassage.com,
which has been enormously successful. In my work, I use Hungarian
Apothecary Mud on all my clients. As a result of its daily use,
I have been able to make the some important observations that I
would like to share with you.
In my menu of treatments, I offer Gel Peels for the skin and use
Glycolic, Salicylic, and Kojic Acid Gel Peels for the skin. These
peels last a maximum of 12 minutes. The reaction of the skin is
sensitivity, redness and minor burning. I would compare the severity
of the symptoms to exposure to the sun for a day without sunscreen
protection. I use Hungarian Apothecary Mud immediately after the
face skin is neutralized from the Gel Peel. Because of this, the
recovery begins very quickly as the skin calms and cools due to
the complex minerals and sulphur that exist in the Mud. Redness
is calmed, the burning subsides and the client leaves looking esthetically
refreshed. I have had the Gel Peel myself and had experienced severe
redness and burning. Following the peel, I used the Mud and it removed
all discomfort. The result was calm, cool, fresher looking skin.
One
of the most popular treatments I offer and my particular expertise
is Body Sugaring. This is an ancient form of hair removal, and is
the most natural technique that can be applied in removing hair
(details may be found at downtimemassage.com).
I have a steady clientele that returns every three to four weeks
for the Body Sugaring procedure. As you know, any form of hair removal
affects the skin and redness, irritation and hypersensitivity may
occur. The application of the Hungarian Apothecary Mud following
the procedure helps calm the skin, close pores and begin the healing
process immediately. After the application of the mud, which remains
on for a minimum of 20 minutes, the treated area looks great. Clean,
smooth and hairless, the skin is soft and irritation free, the result
of the Hungarian Apothecary Mud and Body Sugaring processes working
together.
In preparation for the Body Sugaring, I generally have clients
experience my Skin Reconditioning Treatment. This gives leaves a
great skin pallet allowing for perfect hair removal. It is a three-step
overall body treatment that conditions dry, damaged or sunburned
skin. The treatment begins with a body scrub using a mixture of
warm water, jojoba oil and Dead Sea salts to soften and exfoliate
the skin. The next step is a full body application of Hungarian
Apothecary Mud to ease inflammation and reduce any skin sensitivity.
After the mud is showered off, the finishing procedure is a botanical-rich
moisturizer that is massaged into the newly softened skin. Scheduling
this treatment a few days before a body hair removal session can
dramatically help one get extraordinary results. A bonus of this
treatment is one gets a soothing massage both in the exfoliation
process and as the body moisturizer is applied. This is also a perfect
choice if one has spent extra time in the sun or may be planning
to.
Sincerely,
Gregory T. Cartwright LMT, LE
